you were either first wave emo/scene 2006-2010 or like late wave emo 2010-2012. I feel like anything after that didnt capture the TRUE essence of emo. too much technology advancements and apps.. like it was fun when we had the shitty versions of imvu, blingee, myspace and fb with janky phones and watched torrented anime in 6 separate parts on youtube, listened to nitecore and bad techno music, watched hours worth of scene makeup and hair tuts on our laptops, rp’d with random ppl in chatrooms, dyed our hair with our friends, made kandi, got dressed up to walk to the mall, grocery stores or gas stations to buy makeup, monster energy, candy and cheap jewelry. and like, sit at the park and not even be glued to our phones. all we cared about was our hair and eyeliner. its cool to see people who didnt even live through it be so into the scene/emo aesthetic but im glad to have lived through it even a little bit. ANYWAY share your scene/emo nostalgia~

My grandmother is a bitter old crab with nothing good to say about anything, but she does have a few good stories. She confronted the woman my grandfather had been cheating on her with - this other woman had no idea he was married, and was righteously angry.
The two of them schemed together. My grandfather’s mistress drove her convertible to the construction site where he was working. As he approached the car, she said, “Why didn’t you tell me you were married?”
“Married?! I’m not married!” he said.
My grandmother sat up in the back seat, where she’d been lying down, and said, “You won’t be for much longer.”
HOLY SHIT
This is a Country song.

Reblog to have something good happen at 1:42 tomorrow
I saw this before I left work last night and had a quiet hope, and today I checked my phone at about quarter to two, while I was still on my lunch break, and I’ve just got a job interview with the BBC next week
I’m not a big believer in anything much but I’m so happy holy shit. So like unrelated note but something real good happened to me at 1.42 today lol

hey staff why did all the adult artists get banned but I’m still surrounded by pornbots and terrible harem fantasy game ads with crying abused women in them, I know the answer is MONEY I just really wanted to bring it up and acknowledge how fucked that is

Chinese Kids Are Getting Their Parents, Their Parents’ Parents, And Their Parents’ Parents’ Parents Involved In A Meme
There’s a new meme in China, and it’s very wholesome. The challenge, called “four generations,” includes four generations of family members making an appearance, from youngest to oldest. A son would call his dad, who then calls his dad, who then calls his dad. And a daughter would call her mom, who calls her mom, who calls her mom. The results are super cute.
The videos are being shared on video app Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, under the challenge name, “Four generations under one roof.”

HRT does change your appearance but so does getting full body tattooing and you can get a full body tattoo at 18 without proving to a doctor that you won’t regret it so like…
…maybe HRT being hard to access is actually about transphobia…
